The Mary Berry Project is an investigation into the traditional recipe book that is shared within families. Using a family Mary Berry cookbook, the artist has focused on recipes that have been frequently used by herself and her family. The book becomes an archive of family cooking reflecting the repeated acts of baking and cooking throughout the years. Papier-mache cakes accompany the work acting as illustrations for the cakes, permanently there.
