Food Stories takes inspiration from various family anecdotes. The work consists of objects from these stories such as a cake, a strawberry, and a bar of chocolate. Informed by craft and model-making these objects are reminiscent of child-like crafting. They are playful and juvenile and reflect the infantile nature of the stories they are based on. The installation is presented in a museum-style to give an air of importance to the stories and archive their retelling in a formal way.
